Basketball Recap: Pretty Prairie Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Pretty Prairie won the last time they faced Fairfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs walked away with a 47-37 victory over the Fairfield Falcons. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Despite the defeat, Fairfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kenley Fowler went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points and three steals. Fowler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Pugh, who posted ten points.

Pretty Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.1 points over those games. As for Fairfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Pretty Prairie will need to watch out since Attica has now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Fairfield, they will head out to face off against South Barber on Tuesday. Fairfield is facing South Barber at the right time seeing as South Barber is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
