Basketball Recap: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Shelton Bulldogs
The Kenesaw Blue Devils lost against the Shelton Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kenesaw took a 51-32 bruising from the Bulldogs. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kenesaw in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.
Kenesaw's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Schukei, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Katzberg, who scored six points.
Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Shelton, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Kenesaw will take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shelton, they will square off against the Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Blue Hill and the Bulldogs are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
