Basketball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Pickens Blue Flame

Daniel is 10-0 against Pickens since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Daniel Lions will be playing at home against the Pickens Blue Flame at 7:30 p.m. Daniel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.6 points per game this season.

On Friday, Daniel escaped with a win against Berea by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49.

Daniel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristyn Carrington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Carrington a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Conley, who posted 13 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Pickens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 61-47 bruising from Travelers Rest.

Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Pickens, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

Everything went Daniel's way against Pickens in their previous meeting last Thursday, as Daniel made off with a 61-39 victory. Will Daniel repeat their success, or does Pickens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
