You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chowchilla's strategy against Caruthers on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tribe blew the Blue Raiders out of the water with a 47-7 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.

Tristan Beardsley was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 119 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mateo Martinez, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chowchilla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 366 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Chowchilla didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grant Donegan and Paul Miranda.

Chowchilla's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.7 points. As for Caruthers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Chowchilla has already played their next game, a 49-27 loss against Liberty on the 31st. As for Caruthers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-7 victory against Fowler on the 31st.
