You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chowchilla's strategy against Caruthers on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tribe blew the Blue Raiders out of the water with a 47-7 final score. With the Tribe ahead 27-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Tristan Beardsley went supernova, rushing for 119 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mateo Martinez, who rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chowchilla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 366 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Chowchilla didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grant Donegan and Paul Miranda.

Chowchilla has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points over those games. As for Caruthers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Chowchilla will face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tribe will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests. As for Caruthers, they will square off against Fowler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
