Softball Recap: Justin-Siena Takes a Loss

Justin-Siena lost against Vintage back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Braves lost 14-1 to the Crushers. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Caiden Grimmer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.

Justin-Siena has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Vintage, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Justin-Siena will be playing at home against Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vintage, they will venture away from home to take on Sonoma Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
