Baseball Recap: Oak Hills Comes Up Short

Oak Hills dropped their record down to 20-11 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 7-0 to the Mason Comets. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Highlanders haven't been shut out since back in April.

Oak Hills got a good showing from Brayden Lipps, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lipps has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

As for Mason, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Mason's side, Oak Hills' batters probably weren't too happy with Andrew Visconti, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up four walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Drew Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Sander, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Oak Hills nor Mason have any future games scheduled.
