Football Recap: Kaufman Starts off Right with Win over Rusk + How To Watch

Kaufman had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Rusk Eagles 20-6. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

A big part of Kaufman's win came down to the chemistry between Cole Martin and his top target Dominic Saidu. Martin rushed for 60 yards and one score while Saidu gained 85 total yards. Those 60 rushing yards gave Martin a new career-high.

Kaufman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alyzec Landaverde and Dominik Carrillo.

Kaufman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-13 victory against Athens on the 5th. As for Rusk, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 33-21 loss against Mount Vernon on the 5th.
