Recap: Alto Yellowjackets vs. Overton Mustangs
This season hasn't been kind to The Alto Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 48-20 to Overton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Alto lost against Overton in their previous head to head on Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-20 score last time.
Alto's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-2 Shelbyville and 4-3 Mt. Enterprise (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.2% over those games). As for Overton, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alto will take on Cushing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Overton, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Carlisle will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
