Preview: Red Lake County Central Mustangs vs. Fosston Greyhounds
The Red Lake County Central Mustangs will be playing at home against the Fosston Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Red Lake County Central has 19 straight victories, Fosston has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Warren-Alvarado-Oslo scored an imposing 68 points on Friday, Red Lake County Central still came out on top. Red Lake County Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-68 win over Warren-Alvarado-Oslo.
Fosston might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 78-39 to Ada-Borup, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Fosston has not had much luck with Ada-Borup recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Red Lake County Central's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-0. As for Fosston, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Red Lake County Central came up short against Fosston in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, falling 51-42. Can Red Lake County Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
