After a string of three wins, Caney Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dewey Bulldoggers. The Bullpups were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldoggers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Dewey scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-27, 25-20, 25-20.
