Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Ridge). Their defense stepped up to hand the Cypress Falls Eagles a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Cypress Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matches. As for Cypress Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12-1.

Looking ahead, Cypress Ridge will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Cy-Fair at 7:30 p.m. Cy-Fair will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cypress Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cypress Falls, they will square off against Cypress Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
