Dora won the last time they faced Seymour and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Dora wouldn't go down easily and took Seymour into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 23-25, 16-14.
Despite the loss, Seymour still got an impressive performance from Elianna Wallace, who had 33 digs and three aces. Wallace has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played. Jasmynn Newby also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Dora's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Seymour, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dora will head out to challenge Thayer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seymour, they will square off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
