Volleyball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Thursday.

Brynn Sikora paced Colfax's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sikora got some help from Ruby Kunsman and her 14 assists. Kunsman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, the victory got them back to even at 17-17.

Coincidentally, Colfax and Chetek-Weyerhaeuser will both be playing Cumberland the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Beavers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
