Volleyball Recap: Lewistown Indians vs. Elmwood Trojans
Lewistown and Elmwood squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lewistown had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elmwood Trojans. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.
Lewistown was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-22.
Elmwood found their leader in sophomore Wren Kellenberger, who had 14 digs.
This is the second loss in a row for Lewistown and nudges their season record down to 15-21. As for Elmwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 8-27 record.
