Baseball Recap: St. Monica Comes Up Short

If St. Monica was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of de Toledo last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Monica Mariners fell just short of the Brentwood School Eagles by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mariners have suffered since February 15, 2024.

St. Monica saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Meyer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Monica dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Brentwood School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

St. Monica didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-4 victory against Burbank on the 28th. As for Brentwood School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Crossroads on the 27th.
