Baseball Recap: Circle Comes Up Short

Circle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Augusta Orioles. Thunderbirds fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Orioles since on Friday.

Circle's record now sits at 8-17. As for Augusta, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Circle beat the Orioles by a score of 2-1 later that day.
