Burbank is a perfect 10-0 against Hoover since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Tornados at 3:45 p.m. Burbank has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Burbank's offense. They lost 13-0 to Crescenta Valley on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Hoover unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pasadena by a score of 16-15.

Hoover got a massive performance out of Natalie Menasaka, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Menasaka is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Haylee Malagon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Burbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1.

Everything went Burbank's way against Hoover in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Burbank made off with an 11-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
