Baseball Recap: Simi Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Simi Valley posted their closest win since April 13, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Pacifica Tritons. The win was just business as usual for the Pioneers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Greg Lopez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Evan Rodriguez and Anthony Solis did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Solis went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Jaxon Herron was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Simi Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pacifica, they moved to 2-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Simi Valley has already played their next game, a 5-3 win against Chaminade on the 24th. As for Pacifica, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 victory against Thousand Oaks on the 24th.
