Baseball Recap: Tamarac Bengals vs. Hoosick Falls Panthers
After flying high against Stillwater last Thursday, Tamarac came back down to earth. The Bengals fell 11-8 to the Hoosick Falls Panthers on Friday. If the Bengals were looking for revenge after losing 11-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Owen Blakesley was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Dylan Gerik made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Keegan Blakesley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Having lost for the first time this season, Tamarac fell to 2-1. As for Hoosick Falls, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
