Baseball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions vs. Potomac School Panthers

St. Andrew's Episcopal had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-15 to make it 18. They lost 21-0 to the Potomac School Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Tuesday.

As for Potomac School, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games.

For Potomac School's part, Tony Diller looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Diller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Potomac School got a massive performance out of Ian Parrish, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Parrish a new career-high. Christian Lam also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
