Volleyball Recap: Norwell's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Norwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bellmont Braves, falling 3-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Norwell may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 19 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Norwell had strong showings from Autumn Lee, who had nine digs and five assists, and Aubryn Keller, who had six digs.

Bellmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Ross, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces Ross has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Riggs, who had 12 assists and nine digs.

Norwell's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 23-4. As for Bellmont, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Norwell is set to challenge their familiar foe New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bellmont will face off against rival DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
