Uintah extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 11-2-1. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orem Tigers, sneaking past 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Utes have posted against the Tigers since April 9, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Lynlie Hall, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Leena Sharp, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Uintah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in ten consecutive contests.
As for Orem, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since May 8, 2025.
On Orem's side, Camber Hancock made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off three home runs, five RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Hancock is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaileigh DeMaria, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
Looking ahead, Uintah will head out to challenge Timpanogos at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Utes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Orem, they will host Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.64 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
