Softball Recap: Pulaski Sets Scoring Season-High Against Green Bay Southwest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pulaski). They blew past the Green Bay Southwest Fighting Trojans 21-1 on Friday. With that win, the Red Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Addison Luebke was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Molly Molthen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Abendroth, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Pulaski always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory (which was Pulaski's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Green Bay Southwest, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Pulaski didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Sheboygan North on the 12th. As for Green Bay Southwest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Green Bay Preble on the 12th.
