Recap: Manzano Monarchs vs. Riverside Rangers
On Friday, Manzano strolled past Riverside with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Manzano has managed all season.
Shane Erni was his usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Kareem Otway, who scored 11 points.
The win got Manzano back to even at 3-3. As for Riverside, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Manzano and Belen will face off at 12:45 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Belen is ranked 96th, while Manzano is ranked 72nd).
