Softball Recap: Oroville Comes Up Short

Oroville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-4 to the Durham Trojans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Oroville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rakia Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Durham, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5-1.

Oroville and Durham will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Tigers see the field they'll take on Live Oak at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Durham, their break will end when they face Pierce at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
