St. Laurence entered their tilt with Leyden on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

While St. Laurence won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Elijah Landeros paced St. Laurence's offense, picking up eight kills. Landeros got some help from Matthew Suchecki and his ten assists. Tim Hyland controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Laurence's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Leyden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, St. Laurence will take on St. Rita at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Leyden, they will head out to challenge Proviso East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
