Baseball Recap: Colonel Richardson Comes Up Short

North Dorchester hit Colonel Richardson with a four-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colonels fell 10-6 to the Eagles. Surprisingly, this marked the Colonels' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jordan Regulski put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Derrick Mitchell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. John Beaven was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Colonel Richardson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for North Dorchester, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
