Basketball Recap: San Luis Takes a Loss

San Luis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-24 loss at the hands of the Benson Bobcats. The Sidewinders were probably out for revenge after losing 59-26 to them when the teams met back in January of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Benson was led to victory by Domonik Villa and Luke Chapman. Villa posted 15 points, while Chapman put up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Mcintyre, who had nine points.

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Benson, they moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing San Tan Foothills the next time they take the court. Benson will head out to face San Tan Foothills at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while San Luis will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
