Recap: Clear Creek Golddiggers vs. Lyons Lions
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Clear Creek Golddiggers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Lyons 74-72. The victory was just what Clear Creek needed coming off of a 73-49 loss in their prior matchup.
Collin Hendrickson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler O'Brien, who scored 22 points.
Clear Creek now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lyons, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
Clear Creek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gilpin County at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Gilpin County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Lyons, they will head out on the road to face off against Front Range Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
