Basketball Game Preview: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Timpanogos Timberwolves

Two dominant guards in Jude Haigh and Jaxen Mccuistion are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Green Canyon Wolves will face off against the Timpanogos Timberwolves at 11:10 a.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Green Canyon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.

Green Canyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down West Field 60-42. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Longhorns are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Timpanogos beat Provo 64-58 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

Green Canyon pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Timpanogos, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
