It was a good run, but Zeigler-Royalton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elverado Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13.

Zeigler-Royalton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Elverado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season.

Zeigler-Royalton is taking a road trip to face off against Goreville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elverado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
