Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The game between them and the Eastern Randolph Wildcats didn't end well, with the Trinity Bulldogs falling 53-39. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 34-28.

Despite the loss, Trinity saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madison Hill almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine steals. That was a full 48.7% of Trinity's points, marking the fourth time in a row Hill has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mya Hooker, who earned eight points and six boards.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Eastern Randolph, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 6-15.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-37 loss against Randleman on the 13th. As for Eastern Randolph, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-36 defeat against Providence Grove on the 13th.
