Softball Recap: Tennessee Takes a Loss

Tennessee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 4-0 to the Unicoi County Blue Devils. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tennessee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Unicoi County, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tennessee will venture away from home to challenge Elizabethton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Unicoi County, they will head out to square off against Dobyns-Bennett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Unicoi County 3.6, Dobyns-Bennett 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
