Starmont hasn't had much luck against East Buchanan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Starmont Stars will challenge the East Buchanan Buccaneers at 7:45 p.m.

Starmont lost 74-52 to Calamus-Wheatland on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, East Buchanan can bid farewell to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over Midland.

Starmont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for East Buchanan, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.

Starmont didn't have too much breathing room in their game against East Buchanan when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 73-68 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Starmont since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
