Volleyball Game Preview: Sunnyside Christian Knights vs. Granger Spartans

Sunnyside Christian hasn't had much luck against Granger recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Knights will head out to face off against the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Sunnyside Christian will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Sunnyside Christian will bounce into Monday's match after beating Walla Walla Valley Academy, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Sunnyside Christian walked away with a 3-1 win over Walla Walla Valley Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Granger, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Columbia on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Granger's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Sunnyside Christian, their record is now 7-1.

Sunnyside Christian came up short against Granger in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
