Basketball Game Preview: Foothills Christian Knights vs. Orange Glen Patriots

Foothills Christian and Orange Glen are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Foothills Christian Knights will challenge the Orange Glen Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Foothills Christian has five straight wins, Orange Glen has 27 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Foothills Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Calvin Christian, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory.

Foothills Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Turk, who posted 19 points. Turk's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Patrick Delahoussaye was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen came up short against Classical Academy on Friday, falling 68-45.

Foothills Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Orange Glen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-25.

Everything came up roses for Foothills Christian against Orange Glen in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 65-31 victory. Will Foothills Christian repeat their success, or does Orange Glen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
