McKinley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-18 victory over the Capitol Lions on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Coming up, McKinley will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Istrouma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Capitol, they are taking a road trip to square off against East Iberville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
