Softball Recap: Summersville Wildcats vs. Alton Comets

Summersville can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on the Alton Comets with a sharp 17-2 victory. The win was just what Summersville needed coming off of a 16-1 loss in their prior contest.

The team relied heavily on Elizabeth Havens, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Lanie Greear was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Summersville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Alton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
