Basketball Recap: Jace Matheney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boyd Christian over St. Andrews-Sewanee + How To Watch

Boyd Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 57-46 to the St. Andrews-Sewanee Mountain Lions. The Broncos lost against the Mountain Lions in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-21 score last time.

Boyd Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Matheney, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points. Jack Rhoton was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Boyd Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyd Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Franklin Road Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
