Volleyball Recap: Medford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Essex Tech Hawks, falling 3-0.

While Medford ultimately came up short, they really made Essex Tech work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

Essex Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Player #18, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Player #18 a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Newbury, who had 12 assists and two aces.

Medford's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Essex Tech, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Medford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Chelsea on the 14th. As for Essex Tech, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Georgetown on the 14th.
