Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwestern). They managed an 87-82 win over the South Central Rebels on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for Southwestern, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Southwestern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braxton Lewis led the charge by going 6 for 11 on his way to 25 points. Those 25 points gave Lewis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeter Chatham, who went 5 of 11 en route to 16 points.

Southwestern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Southwestern, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for South Central, they moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Southwestern will take on Rock Creek Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Rock Creek Academy likes a good challenge. As for South Central, they will face off against Henryville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
