Baseball Game Preview: Garrison Bulldogs vs. Centerville Tigers

For the second straight game, Garrison will face off against Centerville. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Garrison's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Centerville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Garrison heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centerville. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this game were averaging 2.42 runs allowed.

Shelton Beavers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Burkhalter, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Centerville's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Garrison, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5.
