Football Recap: Juelz Baker Leads Richards' Defense on Saturday

Richards never let their opponents score on Saturday. They walked away with a 12-0 win over the Solorio Sun Warriors. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Warriors were the (much) better team in the second half.

The critical scores for Richards came from Juelz Baker and Yawfe Flournoy-Sutton.

Richards' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. It was truly a group effort as Baker, Jeremiah Lee, and Haneef Ingram picked up two apiece. Baker has been hot, having posted at least one sack the last five times he's played. Richards received some extra help from Baker, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Richards' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Solorio, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Richards wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Englewood Stem on the 27th. As for Solorio, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Longwood on the 27th.
