Football Recap: Oakwood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 46 points the game before, Oakwood was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of the Aquilla Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 60-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Oakwood now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Aquilla, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakwood will venture away from home to face off against Coolidge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Aquilla, they are taking a road trip to square off against Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
