Soccer Game Preview: Plainfield vs. Cranford

The Plainfield Cardinals will take on the Cranford Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Plainfield sitting on three straight wins and Cranford on seven.

Cranford better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Plainfield's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Plainfield really gets things going. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Brearley. While Plainfield didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-7-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Cranford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Governor Livingston last Thursday.

Plainfield's record now sits at 6-2. As for Cranford, their record is now 9-3.
