Volleyball Recap: Wheeler Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Wheeler hadn't done well against North Judson-San Pierre recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bearcats came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 3-1. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-9, 25-21.

Izabela Schumacher paced Wheeler's offense, picking up 15 kills. Schumacher got some help from Sophia Hall and her 15 assists. Julia Newsome controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wheeler pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Wheeler will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Washington Township at 6:30 p.m. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Glenn at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
