Baseball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Comes Up Short

Ashton-Franklin Center lost against Eastland back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders lost 12-2 to the Cougars. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Logan O'Brien was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Ashton-Franklin Center's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Eastland, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Looking ahead, Ashton-Franklin Center will head out to take on Hinckley-Big Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastland, they will welcome Newman Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Comets will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
