Basketball Recap: Meeker Comes Up Short

Meeker lost against Okemah back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Meeker Bulldogs were beaten by the Okemah Panthers 62-22. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

Meeker dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Okemah, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Meeker is taking a road trip to square off against Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meeker is facing Seminole at the right time seeing as Seminole is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Okemah, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Warner at 6:00 p.m. Okemah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Warner likes a good challenge.
