Baseball Recap: Raytown Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Raytown's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Fort Osage Indians on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 last Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Raytown and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Fort Osage, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-12.

Looking ahead, Raytown will be playing in front of their home fans against Belton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Osage, they are taking a road trip to face off against Platte County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
